Le pape Leon XIV lors d'une audience avec les participants au Jubile de la diplomatie italienne dans la salle Paul VI au Vatican, le 13 decembre 2025. Il se tient devant la creche Nacimiento Gaudium, qui represente une Vierge Marie enceinte et une collection de 28 000 rubans colores. Chaque ruban represente une vie sauvee de l'avortement grace aux prieres et au soutien apportes par les organisations catholiques a de nombreuses meres en difficulte. La creche presente un element original : deux representations differentes et interchangeables de la Vierge Marie. Pendant l'Avent, une statue de Marie enceinte, symbolisant l'attente et l'espoir, sera exposee ; la veille de Noel, elle sera remplacee par une image de la Vierge agenouillee en adoration devant l'Enfant nouveau-ne.

Pope Leo XIV during an audience with participants in the Jubilee of Italian Diplomacy in the Paul VI Hall at the Vatican on 13 December 2025. He is standing in front of the Nacimiento Gaudium nativity scene, which depicts a pregnant Virgin Mary and a collection of 28,000 coloured ribbons. Each ribbon represents a life saved from abortion thanks to the prayers and support provided by Catholic organisations to many mothers in difficulty. The nativity scene introduces an original element: two different and interchangeable representations of the Virgin Mary. During Advent, a statue of Mary pregnant, symbolising expectation and hope, will be on display; on Christmas Eve, it will be replaced by an image of the Virgin kneeling in adoration before the newborn Child.
